Wrap around care

Welcome to our After School Child Care Provision

We aim to provide a relaxed, friendly and safe environment for your child by offering continuous care from 8am until 6pm. There are two elements to our child care provision, Breakfast club and After school “Chill out” club. Each is staffed by appropriately qualified members of the school team who aim to provide a balance between organised activities and relaxation times whilst maintaining adequate supervision. This care is open to all children between 3 and 11 years of age who attend Prees Primary School and Nursery, term time only.

Our Attingham Adventure

Wrap Around after school club embarked on their second ever outing, this time to a local National Trust property. Myself, Mrs Taylor, Mrs Powell, Miss Haycocks, a troop of twelve children and their wellies travelled in style on the school’s minibus to Attingham Park in Shrewsbury to explore the parkland  in the hope of spotting a deer or two.

Having left school just before the end of the day we arrived at 3.30pm ready to start our adventure. We set off in the direction of the deer park at a speedy pace pausing briefly for a team photograph in front of the lovely, huge house. We crept silently (well, almost!) through the gates of the park keeping our eyes peeled for the deer herd. Unfortunately, the deer were not feeling hugely sociable and decided they were best staying at a safe distance away on the other side of the park. (I can’t imagine why?!) According to one of the children, “they must of known we were booked in to come”!

Next, having spotted some wonderful tree dens made of sticks and branches, we decided to have a go at making our own. Everybody helped to gather the sticks and fix them into place. It was hard work – some of the branches were bigger than us!

After a quick march back past the house we arrived at the adventure playground where we found swings, tunnels, playhouses and much more.  We really enjoyed this part of the visit!

When some rather threatening looking clouds moved in we quickly decided to make our way back to the minibus via the walled garden where we enjoyed our delicious sandwiches and cakes before making our way back to school.

Throughout the visit the children (aged 3-10) used the cameras and our iPad to take pictures of anything that interested them and to record their time at Attingham Park. Shortly, I will upload a selection so I can share with you the beautiful pictures captured by the children’s wonderful photography skills.

We had a thoroughly enjoyable time at Attingham Park – so much so, the children are already asking to return!

Watch this space 🙂
