In the nursery we aim to lay the foundations for lifelong learning. Our Early Years department has recently been refurbished and is a bright and busy environment. The children have access to both the inside and outside learning environments.
Young children learn most effectively through play. Our staff will work together as a team and plan meaningful learning opportunities for the children. We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum which develops children’s learning through three prime areas of learning, Personal, Social and Emotional Development/ Communication and Language/ Physical Development and in the four specific areas of Literacy/ Mathematics/ Understanding the World/ Expressive Arts and Design.
“Progress in Early Years Foundation Stage is rapid as a result of highly skilled staff and clear focus on the needs of each child. They do well across all areas of learning.” Ofsted December 2012
Children can start in our nursery the term after they are 3 and are entitled to 15 hours or 5 government funded sessions. We operate 3 hour morning sessions running from 8.45 til 11.45am.
We would be happy to show you around our nursery, please contact the school office to make an appointment.
