VE Day Commemorated

On the 8th May, we celebrated 80 years since Victory in Europe Day.

The children came together for a whole school assembly and two minutes silence. Afterwards, they completed a range of activities in their classrooms which included learning the Charleston, interpreting pictures, and making bunting!

In their PE lesson, Year 3 took part in games from the 1940s, including skittles.
Year 6 even created some magnificent clay poppies as a keepsake of their day.

Our thanks to the kitchen staff for our wonderful VE Day celebratory picnic lunch as well!
